Matthew 6

The World Is Not a Stage

 ¹ "Be especially careful when you are trying to be good so that you don't make a performance out of it. It might be good theater, but the God who made you won't be applauding. ^2-4"When you do something for someone else, don't call attention to yourself. You've seen them in action, I'm sure—'playactors' I call them— treating prayer meeting and street corner alike as a stage, acting compassionate as long as someone is watching, playing to the crowds. They get applause, true, but that's all they get. When you help someone out, don't think about how it looks. Just do it—quietly and unobtrusively. That is the way your God, who conceived you in love, working behind the scenes, helps you out.

Pray with Simplicity

 ⁵"And when you come before God, don't turn that into a theatrical production either. All these people making a regular show out of their prayers, hoping for stardom! Do you think God sits in a box seat?

 ⁶"Here's what I want you to do: Find a quiet, secluded place so you won't be tempted to role-play before God. Just be there as simply and honestly as you can manage. The focus will shift from you to God, and you will begin to sense his grace.

 ^7-13"The world is full of so-called prayer warriors who are prayer-ignorant. They're full of formulas and programs and advice, peddling techniques for getting what you want from God. Don't fall for that nonsense. This is your Father you are dealing with, and he knows better than you what you need. With a God like this loving you, you can pray very simply. Like this: 

   Our Father in heaven, 
   Reveal who you are. 
   Set the world right; 
   Do what's best— as above, so below. 
   Keep us alive with three square meals. 
   Keep us forgiven with you and forgiving others. 
   Keep us safe from ourselves and the Devil. 
   You're in charge! 
   You can do anything you want! 
   You're ablaze in beauty! 
      Yes. Yes. Yes.

 ^14-15"In prayer there is a connection between what God does and what you do. You can't get forgiveness from God, for instance, without also forgiving others. If you refuse to do your part, you cut yourself off from God's part.

 ^16-18"When you practice some appetite-denying discipline to better concentrate on God, don't make a production out of it. It might turn you into a small-time celebrity but it won't make you a saint. If you 'go into training' inwardly, act normal outwardly. Shampoo and comb your hair, brush your teeth, wash your face. God doesn't require attention-getting devices. He won't overlook what you are doing; he'll reward you well.

A Life of God-Worship

 ^19-21"Don't hoard treasure down here where it gets eaten by moths and corroded by rust or—worse!—stolen by burglars. Stockpile treasure in heaven, where it's safe from moth and rust and burglars. It's obvious, isn't it? The place where your treasure is, is the place you will most want to be, and end up being.

 ^22-23"Your eyes are windows into your body. If you open your eyes wide in wonder and belief, your body fills up with light. If you live squinty-eyed in greed and distrust, your body is a dank cellar. If you pull the blinds on your windows, what a dark life you will have!

 ²⁴"You can't worship two gods at once. Loving one god, you'll end up hating the other. Adoration of one feeds contempt for the other. You can't worship God and Money both.

 ^25-26"If you decide for God, living a life of God-worship, it follows that you don't fuss about what's on the table at mealtimes or whether the clothes in your closet are in fashion. There is far more to your life than the food you put in your stomach, more to your outer appearance than the clothes you hang on your body. Look at the birds, free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description, careless in the care of God. And you count far more to him than birds.

 ^27-29"Has anyone by fussing in front of the mirror ever gotten taller by so much as an inch? All this time and money wasted on fashion—do you think it makes that much difference? Instead of looking at the fashions, walk out into the fields and look at the wildflowers. They never primp or shop, but have you ever seen color and design quite like it? The ten best-dressed men and women in the country look shabby alongside them.

 ^30-33"If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don't you think he'll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I'm trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God's giving. People who don't know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don't worry about missing out. You'll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.

 ³⁴"Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.

Amber Alert changed to missing person for 3 y/o Mitchell Romero ~ mu

Father, we continue to pray that Mitchell will be found as the authorities
change the focus of their search. May the suspect vehicle be found and the man
who owns it spotted so that the child may be found in his custody. We pray for the family
of Mitchell's mother who are mourning her death and the absence of this little boy!
You know all the details here, Lord, and we entrust this little boy to Your
Loving Care. We pray that Your Angels are guarding him and that he will be found
free from harm!

Amber Alert Deactivated for 3 Year Old Texas Boy, now "missing person"

The State of Texas deactivated the Amber Alert for the boy on Tuesday afternoon (10-20) although the boy has yet to be found. Denver City police are now treating the boy's case as a missing person. The changed in status will allow the police to focus more resources on the murder investigation. The boy's mother was found deceased at the time the original Amber Alert was activated on Friday (10-16).

Mitchell Romero a 3 year old Hispanic male, 2' 8" tall weighing 35 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

The suspect is Mario Romero, an Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes, 5'7" and 205 pounds.

The suspect vehicle is a maroon 2004 GMC Yukon with Texas license plate 43WFX6.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Denver City Police Department at 806-592-3516 or dial 911.

Show us your mercy, O Lord;

SHARING SOME PRAYERS ETC

I am going to share some Prayers that I found helpful over the years:

PROTECTION PRAYERS:

Father God, please send your Holy Angels to stand guard over me today.
Lord keep me safe from the evil one and strengthen me against all temptations that
may come my way. Thank you Lord, in the Name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Lord God, please surround me with favor as with a shield today. Lord please strengthen
your wall of protection around me, keeping me safe from temptations of the flesh, tricks
of the adversary and all harm. Lord fill my thoughts with Your thoughts and let my words
be Your words. You are my strength and my defense O Lord. Thank you, in Jesus name
I pray. Amen Based on Psalm 5.12 and Psalm 7.10

THE BLOOD OF JESUS

The blood of Jesus is a powerful weapon for protection from the enemy's attacks.

Lord I cover myself and everyone around me with the Blood of Jesus. I cover all of
the members of my family, my home, my car, my finances, my marriage, my ministry
with the Blood of Jesus. In the Name of Jesus Christ, by the Power of His Blood, I break off
every power of the kingdom of darkness and cancel every argument in heaven that has
established itself against the plans of God in my life and spoil every attack of the enemy.
I call forth, in the name Of Jesus, all of God's plans for my life, my family. NO WEAPON
FORMED AGAINST ME OR MY FAMILY WILL PROSPER. satan the blood of Jesus is
against you and you have no authority in my life. (Guard against all sin in your life and don't
give satan a foothold).

Asking God to move against satan and other evil forces:

Father God I ask that You send Your forces out to drive back the enemies of Christ
that are working in this situation. Your Word says that the adversaries of the Lord shall
be broken in pieces from heaven He will thunder against them. Lord I pray that You would
break your enemies in pieces in Your perfect timing and bring salvation, restoration and
healing to all people who are involved. Based on 1 Sam. 2.10

To You O Lord, I lift up my soul. O my God, I trust in You, let me not be ashamed. Let
not my enemies triumph over me. Consider my enemies, for they are many, and they hate
me with cruel hatred. Keep my soul, and deliver me, let me not be ashamed for I put my
trust in You. In Jesus Christ. Amen. Based on Psalm 25 1-2, 19.20.

Plead my cause O Lord, with those who strive with me, fight against those who fight
against me. Take hold of shield and buckler and stand up for my help. Draw out the spear
and stop those who pursue me. Say to my soul, "I AM YOUR SALVATION". Let those
be put to shame and brought to dishonor who seek after my life, let those be turned back
and brought to confusion who plot my hurt. Let them be like chaff in the wind, and let the
angel of the Lord chase them.

SPIRITUAL WARFARE PRAYERS

When entering your office, grocery store, anyone's home, etc. pray before
entering. In Jesus name, I cover myself and this place with the Blood of Jesus.
I bind up every demon in here and I ask for Giant Warrior Anglels to protect me.

In Jesus name, I command every demon that has followed me, was sent to me,
or transferred to me, to leave me now.

Before downloading email or opening WEB pages on the computer, pray this:

In Jesus name, I bind up every demon coming across the computer lines, and I return them
and any curses.

Before getting in your vehicle:

In Jesus name, I cover myself in the Blood of Jesus. I cover this vehicle and the road
I travel in the Blood of Jesus. I take authority and dominion over all animals and demons
on the road so they do not cross my path. I dispatch angels ahead of me to protect me.

Before going to sleep:

In Jesus name, I cover myself and all my property with the Blood of Jesus. I take
authority over all demons of the night, bad dreams, nightmares and sex dreams and
anyone trying to get into my dreams and I command them to stay away. I ask for Giant
Warring angels to protect me and my property as I sleep throught the day and night.

I have the mind of Christ and hold the thoughts, feelings and intentions of his heart.
I take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ Jesus My Lord. Every fiery
dart directed at my mind is quenched by the Shield of Faith. I do not entertain vain
imaginations. I think only on the glorious and lovely things.

The words of my mouth are words that are creative and bring life to all who hear them. He has annointed me
to heal the broken hearted and set the captives free. I am more than a conqueror by the Word of My testimony
]and the Blood of the Lamb.

Jesus has plans for my life and a hope for my future, and I will fulfill every inch of what
He has for me. satan is bound from interfering with the divine path of destiny the Lord Jesus
Christ has called me to. I will no longer let fear, intimidation, rejection or any other thing
stand in my way.

I am violently and forcefully taking back everything the enemy has stolen from me.
All of satan's plans and assignments are cancelled.
The High praises of God are on my lips. I stand with a two edged sword in my hand
slicing into and pushing back the forces of darkness. The weapons of my warfare
are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.

Matthew 10.8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely
ye have received, freely give. - Jesus Christ

We must use the Word of God and the Authority and power delegated to us by Jesus
to confront the powers of darkness, which are waging a supernatural war against the people
of God. This supernatural war has tremendous repercussions in our physical world, in the
form of wars, unrest, violence, hunger, poverty, diseases, religion, occult and many others.

Without the presence of Jesus Christ in our lives, we are powerless against the war
satan wages against us. Each of us should become a fortress against the powers of darkness
which surround us and inflitrate our lives to steal our souls, kill our bodies and destroy
our civilization John 10.10. All authority and power in Heaven and on Earth was given
to Jesus Christ.

Matthew 28.18 Then Jesus came to them and said "ALL AUTHORITY IN HEAVEN
AND ON EARTH HAS BEEN GIVEN TO ME". NIV

LUKE 10.17
And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my Name they wll drive

PRAYING AGAINST MENTAL ATTACKS

I come to you Lord my deliverer, you know all my problems, all the things that bind,
that blind, that torment and harass me. I refuse to accept anything that comes from
satan and loose myself from every dark spirit in me that is not the Spirit of God, from every
evil influence, from every satanic bondage and I command all such spirits to leave me now.

The Awlad Hassan, who refer to themselves as the Beri, are scattered throughout central Africa, including Chad, Niger, and Sudan. Regardless of their location each grouping, including the Awlad Hassan, speaks Zaghawa (sometimes called Beri), which belongs to the Saharan branch of the Nilo-Saharan language family.

The Awlad Hassan inhabit a territory that consists mainly of grassy stretches and plateaus with deep gullies. Desert surrounds them to the north, east, and west. During the dry months, lack of water can become a problem. The Awlad Hassan people belong to an ancient society dating back to the seventh century. Long ago, they had their own kingdom that was separated into chiefdoms, castes (strict social classes), and family clans. The remnants of this ancient kingdom can still be seen today.

PRAYER POINTS
    Plead to the Lord of the Harvest to send forth laborers
to work among this ancient society.
    Ask God to create a hunger and thirst within the hearts of
the Awlad Hassan to know the Truth.

Hindu Mahishya People



"Legend says our people descended from Krishna (an important Hindu
god)," Dinda told his son, "and a Mahishya founded the Ganga Dynasty.
Though we are farmers, we own the land. Most of our people can read
and write. The Mahishyas are hard workers and have gained financial,
social and political success. Many have left farming and now own
engineering firms in urban areas. Stand tall; you can be proud of
your heritage! We are a dominant class."

No doubt, the high rate of alcohol abuse among Mahishyas comes from
seeking stress relief. They are looking to the wrong sources for
help. Neither alcohol nor their idols can fulfill their desire for
significance.

Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I
will give you rest" (Matt. 11:28 NIV). The difference is obvious.
Mahishyas trust in their works, but those who follow Jesus trust in
His work on the cross. Through Him, they can truly become the
children of the living and true God. He doesn't drive; He leads. He
created the Mahishyas, accepts them where they are, and gives them
what they need to reach their full potential.

Pray that the Mahishya people will accept the love and forgiveness
God offers them. Ask the Holy Spirit to open their spiritual eyes and
help them place their trust in Jesus so they can find His purpose for
their communities.-AK

How precious this promise must have been to Joshua as he assumed
leadership of Israel! And this promise is for us as well: God's
presence is the greatest resource for those who do His will. It is
God Himself who moves through us to cross the cultural and social
barriers that hinder understanding and acceptance of the good news
about Jesus Christ. We, in our own power and energy, are not able to
do this great work. Jesus reinforced this truth when He linked the
command to go and make disciples of all nations with the promise to
be with you always, to the very end of the age (Matt. 28:19, 20).

Thank God for this precious promise! Pray that cross-cultural workers
in Bangladesh will understand and experience His presence.

15-Thwart the plans of the wicked

Scripture: “The LORD is known by his justice; the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands.” - Psalm 9:16

Prayer: Lord, You are God and there is no other; You reign in the heavens, and nothing escapes Your notice. You are a God of justice, and Your ear is open to the cry of the righteous.

We ask that You would oppose those who hate peace in Baghdad. Send Your angels to resist those who love violence, and thwart the plans of the wicked. Disallow destructive schemes and devices. Bring confusion, doubt, and fear into the hearts and minds of those who are planning evil in Baghdad today. Cause the bombs planted by terrorists to misfire today, and bring no harm to the innocent.

Even as Your word says, “the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands,” let those who promote fear and confusion in Baghdad today, be ensnared by the work of their own hands.

We thank You Lord, that nothing is too difficult for You, and we agree together for victory. In Jesus name, amen.

Mr Joel Reid is a 90 year old man, soon to be 91 in December. He fell and broke 3 bones in his left thigh/hip area. Before he fell, he was weakened with phenomia and due to the phenomia, his Doctors are unable to fix the breaks in his leg. He has been hospitalized for one week now, his leg in traction. He is on antibiotics for the phenomia and hopefully will be strong enough to have surgery for his leg in another week. Up until the time of his fall, he lived by himself and was fully functional. This in itself is amazing... His son is also an amazing man, he takes care of his father. Checking and calling daily to make sure his Dad was doing all right. Chuck(the son) has been by his fathers side for almost the whole time Joel has been hospitalized. The support and love he shows for his father is rare these days. I ask you to pray for Joel, to have the strenght, courage and will power to live. Also, for Chuck to have the strength to continue to help his father. Please pray for them both ?? Thank you..

Please pray for my friends son Ralphie, two days ago, his heart stopped and he had to be brought back to life. today it happened again, he is in the hospital and they don\'t know what\'s wrong with him. please, please, please pray for him to be healed and for his family to have strength, he is only 14 and too young to die, it would shatter his parents and his younger siblings lives forever. thank you

She has a rare blood disorder which she has battled for 10 years. Recently she has been in declining health. Today due to complications after surgery she is on a ventilator and gravely ill in the ICU. Hello, i\'ve put in prayer requests before, but this is for me. My life is falling apart, i\'m feeling depressed, and very down right now. I got fired from my job today, and that started last week. I\'ve developed a bingo habit which my husband hates, and he hasn\'t supported me in any way since my habit picked up. Not even for my sodas......so that put me in a position where i feel i\'m seperated from him in all aspects of our marriage. I\'ve tried to talk to him about my job and the frustrations, only to have him practically blame me for it, our marriage is on the rocks due to our finances, and he keeps threatening to leave me. I feel far from God due to my excessive bingo and debt. I put myself into debt because of bingo and a credit card. my husband won\'t help pay for the credit card, says it\'s all my own. But i\'m expected to pay for the other bills and when i don\'t he gets angry. Instead of him being supportive in any way, he\'s angry and just blames me for everything, causing me to back away from him and feeling like we don\'t belong together anymore. So i\'ve decided to try counseling, and all he can say is good you can deal with your issues, what support is that? So i need prayer to continue with my married life, and what God has in store for me. Also pray that i get back to church, and get a good job that i can stay at without problems. I need the money....thank you all.

When the Pryor Mountain Mustangs were rounded up and then set free, 
many went lame. Cloud - Wild stallion of the rockies is one of them 
PLEASE Pray for him and the other lame horses to go back sound again 
and soon be out of pain! They are too easy prey for Wolves and 
coyotes and Cougars when they are lame and cannot keep up with their 
herds!
